| India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been banned for two one-day internationals because India maintained a slow over-rate in the second one-day international against Sri Lanka in Nagpur. Sri Lanka scored a series-levelling three-wicket win over India in Nagpur on Friday in another close game in the five-match series. Dhoni had hit 107 in India's total of 301 for seven, but Sri Lanka, riding on a knock of 123 from Tillakaratne Dilshan, chased down the target with five deliveries to spare. BCCI said match referee Jeff Crowe had found that India had maintained a slow over rate and that Dhoni would serve an immediate ban. "The Indian players have been penalised 40 per cent of their match fees. Virender Sehwag will lead the Indian team in the next two ODIs." |
