Bairstow describes stunning ODI debut against India as ‘dream come true’

London, Sep 18(ANI): England batsman Jonny Bairstow has described his ODI debut in the fifth and final match against India in Cardiff as a “dream come true”.

Bairstow had smashed 41 off 21 balls, including three sixes, to set up a six-wicket victory for England to win the series 3-0.

“I got a call on Thursday and then to start off like this is a dream come true,” Bairstow told Sky Sports.

“It’s a positive outcome for the side and obviously they’ve played really well in this series. I wanted to enjoy the experience and hopefully we can go from here,” he added.

The result helped England leapfrog India to go fourth in the ICC ODI Championship standings. (ANI)
