Manohar did not allow Modi to reveal ownership of all IPL franchisees

Mumbai, Apr. 21 (ANI): Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Shashank Manohar is reported to have shot down Indian Premier League (IPL) Commissioner Lalit Modi's move to reveal the ownership details of all eight IPL franchisees.

According to television reports, Modi is said to have sent an e-mail to Manohar on April 14 in which he sought the permission of the BCCI to reveal the ownership details and clear all misgivings and doubts about how the IPL was being managed and monitored.

Manohar and at least four other BCCI executive members immediately shot down the proposal, saying that it would open a legal "Pandora's Box" which the board might find difficult to counter on defend.

Meanwhile, another media report has revealed that Modi has asked Manohar to delay the holding of the IPL Governing Council meeting. He has said that it should not be held on April 26, but on May 1, according to sources.

Modi said the meeting is invalid, as BCCI secretary N Srinivasan has no right to call it.

Modi is not ready with his explanation on the IPL issue and wants the meeting on May 1.

However, BCCI sources say meeting will go ahead without Modi and it would not hesitate to take tough decisions to protect its image.(ANI) Antimonite monoarthritis neofreidism somnific, justifiability.
