Warne rubbishes Akram allegations

Rajasthan Royals skipper Shane Warne trashed KKR bowling coach Wasim Akram's allegations of ball tampering in the Indian Premier League saying he was hearing such things for the first time.

'I don't agree with it. I have been hearing this for the first time. You better ask Akram. Maybe he is an expert on this,' Warne said.

A website, quoted legendary Pakistani fast bowler Akram as saying that he has seen players indulge in ball tampering by rubbing mud on it. Akram, however, did not name any one of the alleged offenders.

'If umpires are not watching then I don't know who is. In this IPL, umpires should look for players who are putting mud on the ball because you can't alter the state of the ball with anything,' Akram said.
