| Kolkata Knight Riders captain Sourav Ganguly refused to get carried away by his side's eight-wicket win over the Rajasthan Royals. The Royals won the toss and chose to bat first, but could only post a total of 132 for nine from their 20 overs. Two early wickets in Kolkata's reply gave Shane Warne's side hope of defending that meagre total, but Ganguly and Cheteshwar Pujara put on 111 for the third wicket to see them home with 23 balls to spare. The win keeps alive Kolkata's slim chances of reaching the semi-finals of the Indian Premier League, but they still need other results to go their way. "We need others to help us a bit," Ganguly said. "It's a bit disappointing, we've had our chances but it's good to get a win and hopefully we can do even better in the next game. "Asked if had crossed his mind to chase a quick victory in order to boost his side's net run rate, Ganguly added: "It did but it was not an easy wicket to bat on and we lost two early wickets. It was spinning and stopping. Results are not in our hands but we will try to win against Mumbai." |
