| Melbourne, Aug 22 (ANI): Young Australian pacer Pat Cummins, who broke down with a side strain during the recent tour of England, has added six kilograms in muscle to be fighting fit for a busy summer of cricket, and is hoping to play all three forms of the game. The teenage quick plans to hit top speed this week before flying out Saturday week for Australia's three T20s against Pakistan in the UAE. Cummins, 19, will then take part in the World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka, followed by the Champions League in South Africa, before returning to Australia to press his Test case via Sheffield Shield for NSW. Despite also struggling with a foot and heel problem, Cummins is determined to play in all three forms of the game, news.com.au reports. He weighs 94kg compared to the 88kg he was when he took seven wickets on Test debut in Johannesburg last November. "The thing about the side strain is it's fairly common, and while I was frustrated at the time, I was never worried about being injury-prone with that kind of injury," said Cummins. (ANI) |
