Bangladesh recalls Ashraful for tri-series in Zimbabwe

Johannesburg, Jun1 (ANI): Bangladesh has recalled former captain Mohammad Ashraful in a 15-man squad for the tri-series Twenty20 competition in Zimbabwe next month.

The tournament, which also includes South Africa and Zimbabwe, will be held from June 17 to 24 at the Harare Sports Club.

Bangladesh was added as the third team at the last minute, as it was originally a five-match series between Zimbabwe and South Africa.

The selectors also recalled batsman Zunaed Siddique to the squad.

"Ashraful and Zunaed were always under consideration. They just need to show some consistent performances which they did in BPL," Sports 24 quoted Bangladesh Chief Selector Akram Khan, as saying. (ANI)
