'Experienced' Trott would like to captain England team in future

'Experienced' Trott would like to captain England team in future
London, May 16 (ANI): English cricketer Jonathan Trott has said that he would love to captain his side and take more responsibility in the England cricket team.

"If the right opportunity presented itself at the right time then I'd love to captain the side. I've always enjoyed captaincy and I like to have control over the game where I can," the Daily Mirror quoted Trott, as saying.

Trott, who was named as the World's Best Cricketer, by the ICC last year is considering 'offering' more to the team as a cricketer.

"I do feel I'm moving into the next phase of my career with England. Whenever we're in meetings and I feel I've got something to say I'll offer it. I think I have a good feel for the game and the other guys know that. They know where I'm coming from when I say stuff," he added.

Trott's runs gained much appreciation following two stellar years at No.3 in theTest and one-day teams. (ANI)
