Shakib Al Hasan in Kolkata triumph

Shakib Al Hasan returned figures of three for 17 off his four overs to help the Kolkata Knight Riders nudge past the Rajasthan Royals with four balls to spare in the Indian Premier League.

Shakib took the wickets of both the hosts' openers, Rahul Dravid and Ajinkya Rahane, for 28 and 19 respectively as the hosts' batting line-up crumbled, with Englishman Owais Shah the notable exception with a top score of 31 in a modest total of 131 for five.

The Knight Riders responded in solid fashion, Jacques Kallis making 31 before being given lbw to Johan Botha, and Manvinder Bisla making 29 before Shakib helped the home side over the line to a five-wicket win with a quick-fire 16.
